319 cases needed assistance by ERRC Lifeguards and water rescuers
E.R.R.C Lifeguards treated 319 cases, and the service was available on a daily basis. It was run by a dedicated group of E.R.R.C lifeguards. Besides the numerous minor injuries treated on the spot, other more serious injuries required transport to the Gozo General Hospital/Mater Dei Hospital for timely and proper evaluation by the medical team. This is a specially equipped water rescue boat, equipped with advanced life support systems amongst which defibrillators andpatient monitoring units.
This equipment was financed through the grant acquired from the Ministry for Gozo under the eco-Gozo scheme for NGOs. This organisation benefited from the maximum amount of €50.000 allocated for each organisation under this scheme.
