Eco-Schools National Operators MeetingTo celebrate the 10th year of EkoSkola Malta and the 50th year of Nature Trust Malta the International Eco-Schools National Operators meeting was held in Malta. Around 70 delegates from 50 different countries attended for the event. During their four day stay in Malta, the delegates had various meetings, school visits and cultural visits. They were also the guests of H.E. Dr. George Abela, President of Malta, who presided over the Green Flag award ceremony.

 The topics dealt with during the meetings focused mainly on matters concerning the developments of the FEE and eco-schools and the annual report of FEE. An overview of what is happening in the Maltese schools was addressed by Prof. Paul Pace and was followed by talks from local and foreign academicians working on Educational Sustainable Development and FEE representatives from different countries. 

The delegation visited schools in Malta, the Verdala Palace, historical sites in Mellieħa and had guided tours at Valletta and Mdina. They assisted also for a turtle release at Mellieħa.
