A Regional Youth Council for Gozo"The eco-Gozo vision is based on the principles of sustainable development and therefore aims towards a socio-economic development while also giving particular attention to the natural and historical environment while enhancing the island's identity. Now that in the past months several actions related to the rural environment and infrastructural works were initiated, actions related to the social aspect - youths in particular will be initiated" the Hon. The Regional Youth Council for Gozo will be composed of Gozitan youths aged between 16 and 30. Its main target is to create a forum bringing together Gozo's youth organisations working in different sectors, among which sports, religious groups, philanthropic and other Non-Governmental Organisations.

The main aim of this council will be that of providing youths with the opportunity to have an effective representation and to recognise the work of these youth groups to the benefit of Gozitan society. It will also help establish a recognised forum where young people will discuss, share ideas and promote more collaboration between their respective organisations.

This launch formed part of the event {g'a|ag' Fest organised by the Oratory Don Bosco at the start of the social and pastoral year. The event involved the participation of youths from around the island.
