Conservation and upgrading of rural heritage in Xagħra
The construction and conservation of circa 1036 metres of rubble walls were carried out by the Xagħra Local Council which will greatly contribute to reduce soil erosion. These include the re-construction and restoration of rubble walls in Sellum Street and San Marzjan Street. Since the project is situated in areas of high prominence, this will give an added natural value to the village.
This project was eligible for 95% of its funding through the eco-Gozo scheme for Local Councils.
